Event Date: February 11, 2025 | 11:00am.

Black gardeners have shaped the landscapes of the Atlanta University Center and left a lasting imprint on American horticulture. Join us for Cultivating History: A Celebration of Black America in the Garden as we explore their remarkable contributions.

We’re honored to host Abra Lee, Director of Horticulture at Historic Oakland Cemetery and author of Conquer the Soil, for a thought-provoking discussion on Black gardening heritage. Attendees will enjoy a rare archival viewing featuring historic materials and be entered into a book giveaway for Black Flora by Teresa J. Speight.

Space is limited, so register today to join us. Light refreshments will be served.
